Mark Miller

Dr. Miller is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics, and Neurosurgery. He is a Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Miller, a Kentucky native, was awarded his doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry in Lexington in 1998. He then completed a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He entered the United States Army in 1999 and is a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve. After completing tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, Dr. Miller completed his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Jacksonville. Dr. Miller went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville.

After residency Dr. Miller was able to pursue his love of caring for children with craniofacial differences by completing a Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Fellowship at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida. Under the direction of Drs. Ramon Ruiz and Brent Golden, Dr. Miller’s fellowship provided him advanced training in the surgical treatment of cleft lip and palate, craniofacial anomalies including craniosynostosis, as well as pediatric oral & maxillofacial surgery and other childhood related conditions.

Dr. Miller’s clinical interests include the treatment of congenital and acquired craniofacial conditions, including cleft lip and palate, head shape anomalies, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma and pediatric oral & maxillofacial surgery. He has dedicated his professional life to the care of individuals with facial differences.
